Easter Morning Song Sheet
Thine be the glory First note: G Key: C
Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son!
Endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won.
Angels in bright raiment rolled the stone away,
Kept the folded grave clothes here Thy body lay.
Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son
Endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won!
Lo! Jesus meets us, risen from the tomb
Lovingly, He greets us; scatters fear and gloom!
Let the church with gladness hymns of triumph sing,
For her Lord now liveth: Death hath lost its sting!
Thine be the glory, risen conquering Son!
Endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won.
No more we doubt Thee, Glorious Prince of life
Life is naught without Thee; Aid us in our strife:
Make us more than conquerors through Thy deathless love
Bring us safe through Jordan, To Thy home above!
Thine is the glory, risen conquering Son!
Endless is the victory thou o'er death hast won.
See what a Morning First note: C Key: C
See what a morning, gloriously bright
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem;
Folded the grave-clothes Tomb filled with light,
As the angels announce Christ is risen!
See God’s salvation plan,
wrought in love, Borne in pain, paid in sacrifice,
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man,
for He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
See Mary weeping: ‘Where is He laid?
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb;
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name:
It’s the Master, the Lord raised to life again!
The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, Bringing peace to us,
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
One with the Father, Ancient of Days,
Through the Spirit Who clothes faith with certainty,
Honour and blessing, glory and praise
To the King crowned With power and authority!
And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won Christ has conquered;
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
In Christ Alone First note: A Key: G
In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone! - who took on flesh,
Fullness of God in helpless babe.
This gift of love and righteousness,
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died,
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live.
There in the ground His body lay,
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
Crown Him with many Crowns First note: C Key: G
Crown him with many crowns, The Lamb upon his throne;
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns All music but its own:
Awake, my soul, and sing Of him who died for thee,
And hail him as thy matchless king Through all eternity.
Crown him the Son of God Before the worlds began,
And ye, who tread where He hath trod, Crown him the Son of Man;
Who every grief hath known That wrings the human breast,
And takes and bears them for His own, That all in him may rest.
Crown him the Lord of life Who triumphed o'er the grave,
And rose victorious in the strife For those he came to save;
His glories now we sing Who died, and rose on high.
Who died, eternal life to bring And lives that death may die.
Crown him of lords the Lord, Who over all doth reign
Who once on earth, the incarnate Word, For ransomed sinners slain,
Now lives in realms of light, Where saints with angels sing
Their songs before him day and night, Their God, Redeemer, king.
Crown him the Lord of heaven, Enthroned in worlds above;
Crown him the king, to whom is given The wondrous name of Love,
Crown him with many crowns, As thrones before him fall.
Crown him, ye kings, with many crowns, For He is King of all.
